월간 물류매거진은 미국대사관 상무관실과 공동주관으로 ProMat 2007 참관과 세계적 특송회사인 Fedex의 Memphis HUB Center와 UPS의 Chicago HUB를 비교 방문할 예정이다.

2007년 01월 8일(월)부터 11일(목)까지 미국 시카고에서 개최되는 Promat 2007에서는 주로 재료 취급과 로지스틱에 의한 제품 솔루션에 초점 두어 개최되며, 미국을 포함한 ,캐나다, 멕시코와 그 주변 국가들을 중심으로 전 세계 80여국에서 700개 업체가 참가해 제품 솔루션을 전시하게 할 예정이다.

이번 전시회는 로지스틱스에 의한 생산성향상을 구현하는 제조 장비와 구성요소 솔루션, 고객의 주문처리와 배달 솔루션, 정보기술(IT) 솔루션, 어셈블리 로지스틱과 지원 솔루션 등 4개의 솔루션 전문 섹션으로 구성되며 생산, 분배 창고관리부분의 생산성향상에 촛점을 둔 포럼도 병행하여 개최 될 예정이여서, 참관인들이 원하는 분야별로 필요한 정보를 더 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있을 것으로 예상되고 있다.

주요 전시품으로는 자동창고 시스템, 랙, 캐리어, 배터리, 패키지 머신, 랩핑, 박스 성형기, 바코드 프린터, 스캐너, 비전 시스템, 보이스 인식 시스템 등 재료 취급 장비/시스템과 관련된 장비가 선보일 예정이며 이외에도 물류와 관련한 다양한 장비와 기술을 선보일 예정이다.
